UK Innovator Founders Visa

There is a visa known as the Innovator Founder Visa, which is designed for individuals who want to set up and run an innovative business in the UK. It must be different from anything else on the market and endorsed by an approved body.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to qualify for the Innovator Founder Visa, you must meet the following requirements:

• Business Idea: You need to come up with a business idea that:

• Knowledge of English: You must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. When you apply for a job, you will usually need to prove that you have a good command of English.
• Age: To participate, you must be at least 18 years old.
• Personal Savings: Before you apply, you must have at least £1,270 in your bank account for at least 28 consecutive days before you are eligible to apply. You must prove that you have enough personal savings to support yourself while you are in the United Kingdom in case of an emergency.

The application process

You must apply online, and the process depends on whether you are:

• Leaving the UK and coming to the UK from outside the UK.
• You can extend your current visa while you are inside the UK.
• As long as you are inside the UK, you can switch from one visa to another.

Duration and Extensions

• When you come to the UK on an Innovator Founder Visa or switch from another visa while there, you can stay for 3 years.
• Extending your stay by 3 years is possible when your visa expires. You can extend as many times as you like.
• It may be possible for you to apply for a settlement once you have lived in the UK for three years.

Fees

• There is an application fee of £1,191 per person if you are applying from outside the United Kingdom.

Additional information

• In the case that your partner and children are eligible, they can apply to join you or stay in the UK as your dependents.
